My name is Eva Barkman....

I am an award-winning professional multi and mixed-media artist and photographer who lives in northeast Ohio. Art has always been a part of my life. I enjoy the many facets of art and multi-media art and photography are my passion.  To me, what could be better than to combine the world of art in all its diversity and the world of photography in its constantly growing possibilities?  I love when I can surprise myself with the union of light, color, texture, and illumination.  I try to combine the beauty of this world with the beauty of the imagination.  Being creative brings me joy. 

I was nurtured in the arts from a very young child.  My father was a musician and my mother is an artist, so there was always an air of creativity flowing in my home.  With many years in the working world, it hasn’t been until the last few years that I have been able to dedicate my life’s work to my passion, art. 

Beauty, joy, faith, and hope are just some of the qualities and emotions that I wish to emanate to the viewer. I desire for my art to be up-lifting.

You may see my faith mirrored in some of my artwork. I am in awe of the beauty in this world. To me, there is no way to totally capture God's beauty, but I love to use it as a guide in my art. I strive to have my art be inspiring and hopefully, thought provoking.

It gives me joy and satisfaction to see someone enjoy my art, for them to see and feel the joy I had while creating it.  My art can be seen and purchased on several online venues and at shows and exhibits nationwide.  I am available for commissions and I welcome your questions and comments and requests.  Please feel free to email me.
